Parish Teams began in the Fall of 2022 at each of the Portland Peninsula and Island Parishes. Teams gather at each of the parishes on a monthly basis to discuss the life and needs of the parish. We invite any returning or new team members!
What is a Parish Team? A diverse and representative group of parishioners that the Rector/Pastor, clergy, and staff collaborate with regarding the pastoral needs of the parish to promote and facilitate robust and healthy activity and communication at the parish level.
Who is part of a Parish Team? All parishioners who would like to actively engage in the life of the parish.
What do Parish Teams do? Parish teams meet on a monthly basis to discuss ongoing challenges and opportunities regarding the life of the parish. Some of the areas that Parish Teams consider at each meeting:- Liturgical and spiritual life and ministry
- Event planning, collaboration, and promotion
- Community dynamics and pastoral challenges
- Facility condition, usage, and scheduling
