Faith Formation Class details and schedules are as follows:
We use a Family Formation model at all parishes. The goals of this program are to equip and encourage you to live and teach your children the Catholic Faith at home. It also provides opportunities to be a part of the greater Portland Catholic community. Parents and Students meet once per month for class and activities, then take home materials to explore at home. Alternative learning options are also available - contact the Faith Formation office.
Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception (Guild Hall):

Sacrament preparation for First Communion /Confirmation:
This is a two year program is ideal for first and second graders. Extra formation through retreats and other activities helps prepare them to receive these sacraments usually in May of thier second grade year (age 7/8).

Catechesis of the Good Shepherd:
This religious education program involves child-directed, hands-on learning and is based on the Montessori principles of education for ages 3-6. It takes place in a specially designed room called an Atrium, where all furnishings and materials are specifically designed to meet the developmental needs of the children who participate. This group meets on Friday mornings at 9:30 am at St. Louis Church.
